Selected Oral Contraceptive Pills are available from a pharmacist accredited to supply the oral contraceptive pill without prescription.

You must have had the pill previously prescribed by a New Zealand Doctor in the last 3 years and had two visits to the Doctor to discuss the pill. You must be aged 16 to 39 for the combined oral contraceptive pill or 15 to 52 years for the progestogen only pill.

You must have a full consultation at least annually to discuss your medical history, and the appropriateness of supply.

A consultation fee may apply and the cost of the medication will vary depending on the oral contraceptive pill required.
